Accountable for the conversion of diagnoses and treatment procedures into codes using ICD-10, CPT/HCPCS.  Ensures records are coded in an accurate and timely manner.  Ability to work remotely if quality and productivity standards are maintained.   Holds appropriate AHIMA certification.  

Required:  

High School grad or equivalent

RHIT or CCS coding certification

Minimum of 2 years of hospital coding experience

ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding knowledge.

Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
